well i started out with my eating. i completely changed the way i eat the first week. i did pretty good. i made fresh pesto and used grill chicken, avocado, and fresh mozzarella on top of a whole wheat tortilla to create a nice personal size pizza (picture coming soon). i eat more veggies and fruit and try to cut sugar and carbs out where i can and if i crave something i just go ahead and eat it but in moderation of course. now i want to try and continue to create one real meal a week and then gradually cook more each week. most of the time i eat like snack foods. cut up veggies and have a dip, eat some cashews or have a tasty yogurt. on to the exercise portion. so i was really focusing on going to a gym but don't really have the money at the moment to invest in going to a gym so i decided to check out the gym at my apartment complex. um yeah so that place is super small. i think it's all of a exercise ball, some kind of chuck norris total gym thing and 2 treadmills and plus when i tried to go i need some kind of special key card to get in. i decided it just wasn't worth it. i tried other gyms before and i just get bored of using the same equipment all the time. then this pass weekend it occurred to me that hey i have the wii and i have zumba and the biggest loser games. i will do the those instead and in the comfort of my own home. so that's what i start to do this week. i'm excited to try this. one, i love zumba and 2 way back in my high school days i lost weight using the richard simmons sweat into the oldies and galad. remember those? come to think of it i've been struggling with my weight for a really long time. so on another note this weekend i've been helping my parents clean out their home so they can move down south by june. going through some things we found a box of old workout dvds so i will be trying those out as well. definitely blog about my findings on them. so that's how this will work. change my eating habits, my lifestyle and keep exercising interesting and fun.
